Terminal-3, Indira Gandhi International Airport (T3-IGI), New Delhi

Welcome Delegates:  A handy guide for a hassle-free, seamless Arrival experience at T3 on Arrival services, Baggage collection and Immigration.

  • ✔ Upon your arrival at the T3-IGI make sure all your documents are kept ready before reaching the Immigration Hall.

  • ✔ Please follow the Signage available near the transfer area.

  • ✔ T3 has 48 Immigration counters & 46 E-visa counter/ Visa Counters at the Arrival Section. For details on immigration requirements, please visit

  • ✔ T3 has 60 Immigration counters & 4 counters at the Domestic to International Transfer.

  • ✔ After clearing immigration, please proceed to Baggage Reclaim area to confirm your flight baggage delivery.

  • ✔ After you Collect your bags, please proceed to Customs for getting your goods cleared under Green or Red Channel.

  • ✔ The baggage clearance at the T3 Indira Gandhi International Airports in India consist of two channels for clearance.

    1. • Green channel: Not having any dutiable goods to declare.

    2. • Red channel: Having dutiable goods to declare.

Remember: Non-declaration & wrongful declaration of the dutiable goods may attract confiscation of goods, fine or penalty. Serious offences like attempting to smuggle Gold, without declaration may lead to arrest & prosecution. The Indian Revenue Department has specified a list of items, including the size that can now be imported duty-free as part of the baggage.

Other Useful Facilities at T3, IGI:

  • ✔ Foreign Exchange counters (EBIXCASH, T3 International Arrivals) and ATMs are available at all terminals of Indira Gandhi International Airport.

  • ✔ The airport is Wi-Fi enabled. A valid Indian mobile number is required to access the internet.

  • ✔ Delhi Airport is well equipped to provide services to passengers/patrons with reduced mobility and special needs, click to know more

  • ✔ Passengers holding a valid ticket to travel within the next 24 hours can access the visitors lounge at T3 through Gate 1 and Gate 8. Please note that visitor entry to terminals and lounges may be restricted without prior notice due to security or operational reasons.

  • ✔ In an effort to keep the environment clean, all terminals at Indira Gandhi International Airport provide dedicated smoking lounges. These lounges are located inside the terminals, after security screening. Smoking in any other area is prohibited.

  • ✔ 3 International Pier, Transfer Area & Food Court

  • ✔ 3 Domestic Pier, Transfer Area & Food Court

  • ✔ What to do with Missing Baggage at arrival conveyer belt? Kindly contact the airline you have flown and register a complaint with them. It is the airlines responsibility to assist in such a matter.

  • Porter Service: The porter service is available to assist you and make your journey a little more comfortable. T3-IGI professional and experienced staff will help you carry your luggage. Taxi Services

(For those who have not pre-arranged the Pick up from their Hotel)

(If you plan to hire a taxi from Airport, then please exchange your currency to Indian Rupee before leaving the terminal and heading for taxi counters. Payment for taxi will be needed in Indian Rupees only)

    1. • How to Book: Contact MERU booking counter at Pillar number 05 at lane I. The executive present at booking counter are conversant with English language and assists in booking and boarding process.

  • ✔ App Based Taxi Services: (Recommended: Driver may not be fluent in spoken English so please reach at pickup point and contact executive)

    3. • How to Book: These taxi can be booked by using their respective Apps.

    4. • Operating hours: 24 hours (All cabs are equipped with: A/C, Digital Cab Meters and Credit Card or Cash payments)

    5. • Tentative Fare: Fare depends upon time, traffic conditions and type of vehicle (different variants are available) used for the journey. One can see the estimated fare before booking the CAB. Generally drivers of these Cabs are not very conversant with spoken English language.

    6. • Boarding Point: Both OLA and UBER Cabs are available at pickup points at Ground floor, Multilevel car parking, Lane III, Pillar number 3.

Other Mode of transfer (Only for those who are very familiar with New Delhi)

City Bus: City bus run by DTC is available round the clock, every day of the week. The red colored AC buses depart from T3-IGI at the interval of 20 minutes. Major stoppage on route are: Dhaula Kuan, Connaught Place, New Delhi Railway Station, and ISBT (Kashmiri Gate). FARE: Ranges between Rs-50/- to Rs-100/- (Depending upon distance travelled) Boarding Point: Lane I: Near pillar number 18

Delhi Metro: Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) run Airport Express Line from T3-IGI to New Delhi Railway Station between 4:45 AM till 11:15 PM. Major stations on route are: T2-IGI, Delhi Aero city, Dhaula Kuan, Shivaji Stadium (Connaught Place) and New Delhi Railway Station. FARE: Ranges between Rs-50/- to Rs-100/- (Depending upon distance travelled)Boarding Point: Lane III between Pillar number 5 & 6
